Sakharwadi is a town and Gram Panchayat of Phaltan tehsil, Satara district, Maharashtra, India. It is situated at about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) north-east of Phaltan City and approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north-west of Satara City.

It was very intresting history behind the name of sakharwadi, Mr. Apte, owner of New Phaltan sugar works limited stared the factory in 1936 & with its buisness expansion people around this town start calling Sakharwadi, Initially the town named as Pimpalwadi, which is still become a part of this town,

With thought of development of youth of sakharwadi, Mr.Apte taken some measure steps hence they brought new project of Chocolate factory of " Cadbury", which later shut down due to some some consequences, but it helps to concentrate many industrialist on this town, nevertherlss today in circle of 20 kms it has 3 MIDCs around which makes this town more developed. Companies such as Cummins, Sona Alloys, Cotton King, Bharat Gears, have made huge percentage of employment.
